Nokia Lumia 730 Issue

Dear Nokia/Microsoft,

I purchased a “Nokia Lumia 730 from "Galleria, Shop no. 1, Hiren Shopping Centre, S.V. Road, Goregaon (W), Mumbai 400104" on 27th November. IMEI Number:  355151066445166

My Vodafone SIM got activated the next day and since then I faced a problem of SIM 1 getting disabled intermittently. The problem was with the device since the same SIM worked well in other phones and another SIM showed same problem on mine.

I went to the shop on 29th November stating the problem and requested a replacement.  They advised me to get a DOA from a service center for the same.  I went to the service center the same day and gave them the relevant screenshots validate the problem.  I got a DOA letter from the Service Center, “Suresh Telecom, Malad East, MumbaiNCC Code 642-504867.

Since then I have not received the replacement from the shop stating that a new device is not available.  I contacted the customer care number on 3rd December and I received a response that Nokia/Microsoft cannot do anything to help.

On 4th I was told that I have to wait indefinitely and the shop can provide a replacement only if it is available to them.  When asked for paying back the amount, they refused saying that the amount cannot be refunded as it was a replacement case.  So they did not have a new handset for me (neither they were sure when or if I would get it) nor were they willing to pay me back. They asked me to speak to Nokia directly if I couldn't wait.

I called the customer care again today and explained the situation. I spoke to Kopal and she, in turn, insisted that I should only speak to the shop regarding the replacement. Obviously I was not satisfied with the response so I asked to speak to a superior.  I was transferred to Vikas.  I enquired him what were my options as the shop wants me to speak to Nokia to which he replied “Keep in touch with the shop.  They will provide the handset when it is available.”

This is the first time I bought a Nokia/Microsoft device. I had never faced any such problems in my last four Samsung smartphones.

I request you to either make a phone available to me at the earliest or have my money returned so that I can purchase a phone of another brand which has a better supply chain and customer care then yours.

Thanks,
Pritesh Pathak
